“Unsung Heroes of Uptown:
Art of People on the Streets IN the Streets”
is a capsule collection of the ongoing series, “Unsung Heroes” beginning in 2018.
One of the most inspiring figures in Chaussette’s life, Pulitzer Prize-winning oral historian, author, actor, radio and television host, Studs Terkel, once called his life an “accretion of accidents.” But Chaussette believes there are no accidents—‘Unsung Heroes’ is the culmination of her work as a television and radio writer and host in Asia and a product of her childhood. She, like Studs grew up curious about the lives of everyone he encountered beginning with his immigrant parents and their work running a hotel for everyday people.
